Vocal auditions will be held on Monday, February 4th and Tuesday, February 5th from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. Dance audition is ONLY 5:30 p.m. Monday, February 4th. Call Backs will be Tuesday, February 5th at 5:30 p.m. For people audition Monday, we will post callbacks by Monday night. If people audition Tuesday, we will tell them if they are called back.
IMPORTANT: If you are not available for a full day rehearsal on Saturday, April 20th, you will not be cast in the show. This rehearsal on April 20th is mandatory. This is Easter weekend. Please check your calendars and your parents’ calendars before you audition to confirm your availability.
For the vocal portion of the audition, please prepare a 16-32 bar cut to sing. Choose a song that shows off your voice and that you are comfortable singing; this can be any song. An accompanist will be provided, please mark your sheet music with your cut prior to the audition. If you have any questions, please ask Jamie Schmidt.
All forms and payments must be complete before you will be cleared for casting. This includes the JTC audition, tech and orchestra form and payment PLUS the Bloomington Activity form and payment. Scholarships are available. Contact Laura Schmit for details (Director@JeffersonTheatreCompany.org)
All participants must complete both the JTC audition form process and the Bloomington Activity Registration regardless of role – actors, tech crew, and orchestra. Tech crew and orchestra applicants are encouraged to come to auditions to ensure their registration is complete and to introduce themselves to the directors. On your rehearsal form, please specify exact dates with conflicts. Be honest and specific about commitments (indicate activity, date(s), and times). If you miss a rehearsal for any date not listed, it will be considered an unexcused absence. You will not be able to expand conflicts after rehearsals have begun.
To ensure a smooth audition, please complete your online registration at least 2 hours before auditions begin to allow your registration to be processed. You may email your photo and/or resume to Auditions@JeffersonTheatreCompany.org.
You may pay your JTC show fee online with a credit card via PayPal. Fees do apply for this convenience. If you prefer, you may pay by cash or check payable to “JTC” to the audition.
